Friends,
Please please register for our Purim fundraiser and bring a friend or two. I am asking with my whole heart. We need to raise $26,000 before the end of this fiscal year to keep Kol Ami strong and steady, and we are doing it the Jewish way, through community, generosity, laughter, and showing up for one another.
I know. People are tired. The world feels heavy. Many of us are carrying more than we can name. That is exactly why we are doing this.
Because we need a good time. God knows we need a good time.
This Purim, we are going full Queen.
It is dinner, a Queen sing-along, dancing, and both a silent and live auction. It is costumes and sparkle. It is a room full of people remembering what it feels like to be together, to loosen our shoulders, to laugh, to sing at the top of our lungs. If you have been craving joy, this is for you.
As Queen reminds us, “Don’t stop me now.”
And also, “We are the champions.”
Purim is our annual permission slip to be a little louder than usual, a little bolder than usual, and a little more generous than usual. We tell the story of Esther because courage is real, and because hiding is real, and because community is what makes it possible to step forward and say, Here I am.
And friends, Kol Ami needs our Here I am.

Your registration matters. Your presence matters. Your bidding matters. Your donation matters. Your voice in the sing-along matters.
When you support this fundraiser, you are supporting all the everyday holy things Kol Ami does week in and week out:
Weekly Shabbat services
Weekly Torah study
Youth programs
Pastoral care
Social action
Interfaith work
Mutual aid
That list is not abstract. It is hospital visits and shiva minyanim. It is teens learning to lead. It is children singing Shabbat songs. It is someone getting a ride, a meal, a check-in call, a place to belong. It is a community that says, You are not alone.
I want to be clear about the ask. We need to raise $26,000 by the end of this fiscal year. That goal is within reach if we all participate. Some of us will give by buying a ticket. Some will give by bidding. Some will give by donating an auction item. Some will give by inviting friends who do not yet know Kol Ami but would love this kind of night. All of it counts.
Queen says, “Get on your bikes and ride.”
So yes. This is me inviting you to get on your metaphorical bike and ride with us.
Please register now, and then forward this to a couple of friends.

And one more Queen quote, because it is Purim and we can be a little dramatic:
“We will, we will rock you.”
With gratitude and love,
