Fee for each class is $144 for members and $216 for Kol Ami guests.

If you are interested in enrolling your student in both the 9am and 10:30am sessions,
the annual cost is $795 for members and $1,170 for Kol Ami guests.

HEBREW DECODING

Students will be learning letters, vowels, and syllables through group games and fluency practice. We'll use both modern and prayer vocabulary with the goal of building the personal tools to sound out words by sight.
WINTER 2024
MODERN / CONVERSATIONAL HEBREW

Students will learn conversational Hebrew in small leveled groups - lessons will be organized according to function and content components. For example, a lesson may cover expressing likes and dislikes (function) through talking about food (content vocabulary). Practice will occur through roleplay and building conversations based on lesson content.

HEBREW PRAYER YOU CAN TOUCH

This class begins to introduce the Hebrew used in Jewish life, the words of a lived Jewish experience. This class is an ideal fit for students looking to connect their knowledge of Hebrew writing with prayers and songs. This is an excellent way to build a repertoire of prayers to use in everyday life, holiday-specific content, and songs in liturgy and secular life.
MY JEWISH LIFE
A focused series of 8-week experiential units that builds practical knowledge and explores components of Jewish life. These topics (and more) will rotate through the years so students can explore areas of Jewish living and decide what pieces work best for them and their families. Units include:

JEWISH COMFORT FOODS

Beyond holiday foods, the Jewish people have developed a repertoire of comfort foods and distinct dishes that make a tapestry of "what Jews eat." This cooking class will cover dishes and spices from different cuisines and cultures.
