Ritual: The Ritual Committee works with Rabbi Glickman to manage and oversee all worship events at Kol Ami. The committee takes care of setting up our worship space for services and ensuring that prayer books and other materials are available for participants.
Religious School: The Religious School Committee provides leadership guidance to the Director and staff of the Religious School and sets and administers the policies and procedures under which the school operates.
Adult Education: The Adult Education plans and oversees the annual program of adult learning in conjunction with Rabbi Glickman.
Tikkun Olam: The Tikkun Olam (Social Action) Committee is responsible for all the social action activities of the synagogue.
Membership: The Membership committee assists potential new members as they decide to join and helps them integrate into our community. This committee also organizes events to promote and cultivate our sense of identity and community.
Finance: The Finance Committee assists the Treasurer in creating and managing the synagogue's budget and overseeing all the financial affairs of Kol Ami.
Caring: The Caring Committee coordinates and delivers support to congregants in illness and bereavement.
Hospitality: The Hospitality Committee manages the provision of onegs after Kol Ami services and events. The goodies are provided and served by temple members, and our Hospitality Chair assigns each member family a date or two for the year. A member from our Hospitality Committee oversees each oneg and guides our families through the evening.
Ad hoc committees: The Board of Directors appoints additional temporary committees from time to time to work on specific issues.
